Had another quick go at finding this stone today, but with no luck. I asked a couple of people in the village, but they didn't know of the stone, and suggested asking in the Mairie, which was open. The lady there confirmed that there was a menhir somewhere in the community, but that it was mostly buried in a talus (a banked hedgerow) and that she didn't know exactly where to find it.

I guess this stone is not going to be found by luck - and that it will need to be shown by someone who does know.

Had a quick look for this today, but no luck. I had no idea where to find it, and the village didn't have a map, but I asked a man in his garden, and he advised me where to find the menhir, although he did not know it was called Pierre a l'Homme.

He told me to travel north from the main street of the village, and take the second little lane on the left after crossing the stream.....

So I did this, but could find nothing obvious, not helped by the lane being a couple of kilomtres long. This coupled with some slightly impatient family, and it being the start of the hunting season, with people out shooting at anything, and I didnt find it.

One for another time. It is obviously still here just waiting for me to find.
