Holy Well or Sacred Spring in Warwickshire

Located along a footpath not far from the church is this surprising site. Although, the water is often sluggish although may have been cleaned out recently, the main point of interest are the stone faces through which the water would have poured.

These have been described by some people as sun-gods and certainly are unique to this site. The waters were said to be medicinal and bathing was said to cure eye diseases and sores. It is said the waters never freeze.
