Holy Well or Sacred Spring in Derbyshire

This well in the rectory gardens near the church is the so-called Saxon holy well. Unfortunately it is capped. The site is now dressed each year but this is a modern invention. Some local historians believe that it is another site where a copious spring erupts by the side of the road.
