Standing Stone in Leicestershire and Rutland.
This nearly 3' high squat stone lies in a field adjacent to and on the west side of the Grace Dieu Priory at Thringstone.

It leans to the south and has a flat side aligned east-west. A notch in the top, possibly man-made, aligns north-south.

CD-ROM.

Re Gracedieu Standing Stone, please see - http://web.archive.org/web/20050228151900/http://www.geocities.com/oliveshark53/whitelady.htm (archived)
This goes into detail about the stone's proximity to a major geological fault and associated paranormal activity.

I hope I'm not being pedantic but I'd say the grid reference is more like SK433183. I took some photos here today which I'll post (a) when I finish the film and (b) get it developed - I'm still using film I'm afraid!

Not pedantic at all. This is just the kind of information we like here, to get these stones in the right place - particularly the less well known ones which are not on the OS maps. Thanks for your correction which I have now incorporated into the site page.
