Round Barrow in Yorkshire (North)
Excavated and published as Little Ouseburn Barrow, 1958: Round Hill, an Early Bronze Age Barrow at Little Ouseburn, North Yorkshire, England (York University Archaeological Publications) Paperback – 1 Sep 1989 by Philip Rahtz
Report of a rescue excavation at Little Ouseburn in 1958. Pre-barrow occupation comprised settlement features, greenstone axe fragments, Beaker shards, and other farmer period flints. In a primary grave was a tree-trunk coffin surviving as dark residues, and small traces of an inhumed skeleton could be recognised.
