Popham Beacons submitted by SolarMegalith : Two southernly located Bronze Age barrows - view from the SE (photo taken on June 2011). (Vote or comment on this photo)
Barrow Cemetery in Hampshire consisting of five barrows - two bell, two bowl and a saucer barrow.

From SolarMegalith: The barrow cemetery of Popham Beacons consists of two bowl barrows, two possibly bell barrows and strongly ploughed over remains of a saucer barrow. The bell barrows are 2,5 and 2,4 m high, while the bowl barrows reach 1,6 and 2 m of height. The saucer barrow is almost completely ploughed out, I could not distinguish any traces of it. Possibly there was a disc barrow located SE from the preserved ones, but it is unsure.

The cemetery is perfectly visible from the road. Two bell barows and two bowl barrows are aligned, forming one of the best preserved Bronze Age burial sites in northern part of Hampshire.
