Churchover Bowl Barrow
Churchover Bowl Barrow submitted by Iain_P : A photo doesn't really do justice to the actual view. Hopefully outlining the barrow in colour will make it stand out a little better. (Vote or comment on this photo)
Round Barrow(s) in Warwickshire

This is a scheduled monument, List Entry Number 1016883. It's easy to find, as it's visible from the layby on the A426, just north of the M6 junction, but actual access proved impossible (keep Out signs, high fences etc).
The Historic England website describes is as: "the remains of a bowl barrow, located in a prominent position on rising ground above the junction of the M6 motorway and the A426 Lutterworth to Market Harborough road. The barrow mound is irregular with evidence of disturbance on the south side. It stands to a height of between 4m to 5m, with a maximum diameter of approximately 30m."

Even from the road, looking over the hedge and through the trees, it's an impressive sight, once you realise where the mound actually is.

For more information see Pastscape Monument No. 340108 which adds that this "mound believed to be either a Bronze Age Bowl Barrow or a Windmill mound."

Churchover Bowl Barrow
Churchover Bowl Barrow submitted by Iain_P : Here's a view of the top of the mound. The mound is much larger than it appears here, as this is photographed over a tall hedge, obscuring most of the barrow (Vote or comment on this photo)
