Cawthorne Banks Tumulus
Cawthorne Banks Tumulus submitted by vagabondnma : It's the lump behind the trees in the foreground but in front of the woods behind. Not easy to find. But more visible than you'd think from this picture. (Vote or comment on this photo)
Cairn in Yorkshire (North)

Possibly a square barrow - like the one a short walk away near the Roman Practice Camp- or else just a ruined/dug out cairn. It does have large - square-ish - banks with a big dip in the middle, possibly through excavation.

Not easy to find in all the bracken and brambles. but the fantastic view from the camp gives an idea of what could be seen without all the trees.

Would look out North to the Wheeldale Moor and its many sites but also Leaf Howe on the high ground before the Moor.
