Sacred Spring in Lincolnshire
Enclosed rather unromantically in a metal cage, the spring still flows through a predominantly concrete structure at some force. Local legend states that whosoever would drink its waters would have the desire to live there forever in the village. This I was unable to determine as the cage prevents the visitor from sampling its waters. It is mentioned in the manor records early in the sixteenth century but may be lot older, but any ash tree nearby has long gone.
