From SolarMegalith: Caesar's Camp at Wimbledon is a classic example of a plateau fort. It had a single ring of earthworks, which is espacially well visible in western part of the site. The fort probably had 2 entrances, however remains of the NW one are not distinguishable anymore. A hoard of Roman coins from 1st century AD has been discovered here. The site is located on area of a golf club, but the footpath leads through it's middle.
