Rock Art in County Durham

This rock art panel is recorded by NADRAP as being a new carving located in April 2005. Their initial recording consisted of a grid reference and photograph only. In 2007, the panel was not located, although several weathered depressions on a coarse-grained area of exposed bedrock were noted.

For more information see England's Rock Art entry for ERA-1745 Hillgill Plantation, which includes NADRAP's notes and photographs.

It is not recorded if this rock art panel is on Open Access or private land; the grid reference puts this panel in a small area of woodland.

Note: Have you located this rock art panel? Do you have an accurate grid reference, photographs or information to add?
